NDRC: Steel industry operation in the first three quarters

The first three quarters, the national crude steel production 638.73 million tons, year-on-year growth of 6.3%, growth rate of 5.9%; Coke production of 331.81 million tons, growth of 0.2%, the same period last year fell 1.6%. Ferroalloy production 25.78 million tons, zero year-on-year growth, the same period last year fell 2.1%. Steel exports 59.6 million tons, down 29.8%, imports 10.01 million tons, growth 1.8%. Iron ore sand imports 816.72 million tons, growth 7.1%. Coke exports 5.74 million tonnes, down 22.5%.

Steel prices continue to rise. In September, the domestic market composite index of steel prices averaged 116.42 points, 3.64 points higher than last month, raised 40.12 points year-on-year. 6.5mm High Line, 20mm plate, 1.0mm cold-rolled Sheet Volume average price of 4232 yuan/ton, 4127 yuan/ton and 4782 yuan/ton, respectively, than the last month rose 91 Yuan/ton, 166 yuan/ton and 95 yuan/ton, Rose 59.9%, 51.6% and 34.3%.
